water water everywhere

So for the three months that Sara has been home she has continued with her fear of the tub with water in it. Lily has been a trouper and really sweet to get Sara to feel comfortable in the big tub with her. But it has not worked. Now before anyone thinks that I've not been giving little Sara a bath - I must tell you that I've been bathing her in the kitchen sink. So she hated it but at least it was not so intense an emotion and I could safely and quickly bath her. The planets must have all been aligned one day a few weekends ago - 1st Lily was in a great mood, 2nd Sara went into the bath of her own free will - Lily even let Sara dump water all over her and when Sara got it in Lily's eyes (which just the day before she HATED) all she did was laugh and say "no Sara, not in the eyes" all while she was laughing. Then this weekend we went to a lake. And while she did not swim, she did get her feet wet with out anxiety and did a lot of digging in the sand.

The Purple Skirt

Lily loves her dresses and skirts that her Grammie makes for her. This is one that she likes because it is a "twirly skirt. In school she painted her new skirt on her art project. Notice that her hair is flowing behind her in her painting and that the skirt is twirling.
